Personal Life
Campbell was only 9 when he started rapping locally, and in 2006 his song "Chain Hang Low" became very popular climbing into the top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100 chart before the album came out. His album "Jibbs Feat. Jibbs" won the next-to-blow award at the Ozone Awardscitation needed]. On BET's 106 & Park, Jibbs stated how he does not use any profanity in his records. This is uncommon for most modern rappers but is known by artists such as Will Smith, Michael J (Rapper) and Lupe Fiasco. The second single put forth by Jibbs, [King Kong], has no profanity and features Chamillionaire. According to the AOL Music's 'New Songs' section, "Go Too Far" will be the third single, stated for sometime in 2007. In the recent scream tour concert in Chicago, Jibbs has stated that he is indeed from Chicago, Illinois not St. Louis, although he currently lives in St. Louis. He was only 15 when his CD dropped and joined Chris Brown as one of the youngest Hip-Hop artists to have so much success from their debut CD.
